Wind farm built to provide power to Baja California Sur


The director of Comprehensive Port Administration (API) of Baja California Sur, José López Soto confirmed that the arrival of equipment continues for what will be the wind farm, called El Coromuel Wind Farm in which one thousand 900 million pesos are invested.

In an interview for CPS Noticias, the state official commented that the entrepreneurs of this project plan to have it ready by March 2021 .

He reported that this Monday a ship arrived from El Salvador, but they have already received two more, one from Indonesia and the other from China, all with the components for the installation of this park.

In this regard, he said that Governor Carlos Mendoza Davis is betting on the development of these clean energy generation projects and they are providing all the support and accompaniment to the company that is carrying out this project.

“The installation of a collection center for everything that arrives from different parts of the world in the port of Pichilingue is being carried out in order to protect the material, which are transferred to the place of installation, in a period no longer than 30 days ”, he added.

He explained that in the place where the installation of this park will take place, the company is already working on the groundwork. This project is located at kilometer 40 + 200 of the Benito Juárez transpeninsular highway in the section in La Paz-Ciudad Constitución, on the lands of the Alfredo Bonfil ejido, ”he added.

López Soto, specified that it is an important work for Baja California Sur given the nature of it, “Baja California Sur due to the insular situation in which we find ourselves and the difficulty in generating energy, these projects are very welcome to the State and must be agreed upon. , protect them, and give them all the necessary impetus to carry them out, as well as the station and the natural gas plant that is being implemented in the port of Pichilingue. ”
