Even with the health risk that is experienced by Covid-19, inhabitants of La Paz denounce a serious crisis of shortage of drinking water throughout the municipality.
Dissatisfied citizens through the CPS Noticias complaint line, demand that the municipal president, Rubén Muñoz Alvarez, address the problem because thousands of families are being affected, since they have not received the vital liquid for up to six days.
The protesters report that this shortage in addition to affecting homes, affects establishments that require constant cleaning to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
In this sense, the complainants seek that the authorities comply with this human right , they said they are tired that there is no will on the part of the authorities to offer a solution to the serious problem of water shortage.
In recent days, despite citizen complaints, the general director of the Municipal Operator Agency for Potable Water, Sewerage and Sanitation (Oomsapas) of La Paz, Marcelo González, minimized the problem by ensuring that there is no shortage of water in the city, but low pressures .
He argued that the issue of the pandemic raised consumption in homes and there are some problems with the supply of the vital liquid, however, they are attending to it.
