Cleaning Day Held at Todos Santos Palm Grove


This Friday, May 17, authorities from the Government of Baja California Sur (BCS) will participate in a cleaning day at the palm grove in the community of Todos Santos, La Paz, as part of the actions implemented to prevent forest fires in that area.

In this regard, the importance of joining efforts in fire prevention was reiterated, as well as being prepared for the start of the rainy and cyclone season, hence fieldwork is being carried out regarding the cleaning of priority areas.

In that sense, it was reported that institutions that make up the State Civil Protection System will participate, such as the National Defense Secretariat (Sedena), the National Water Commission (Conagua), and the National Forestry Commission (Conafor).

Additionally, the Secretariat of Urban Planning, Infrastructure and Mobility, Environment and Natural Resources (Sepuimm), the Municipality of La Paz, through the areas of Firefighters, Civil Protection, Public Services, personnel from the Todos Santos Delegation, and Associations of Settlers from that locality.

Finally, these agencies will continue to carry out these tasks, especially in streams and water channels, as part of the cleaning program implemented at this time of year, due to rainfall records or hurricane formation.
