Sterilization campaigns will continue in Los Cabos during September

In September, the Municipal Health Department and the Health Secretariat of the Government of Baja California Sur will carry out new animal sterilization and vaccination days in the 4 de Marzo neighborhood in Los Cabos.

On September 9, 10, and 13, free sterilization and anti-rabies vaccination services will be offered to control the population of unwanted pets and prevent the spread of rabies. Appointments are required and certain requirements must be met.

The Municipal Health Department and the Health Secretariat of the Government of Baja California Sur have demonstrated a firm commitment to animal welfare, which is why they continue to carry out sterilization and vaccination campaigns.

During the month of August, a total of 48 sterilizations and 57 anti-rabies vaccinations were carried out, benefiting numerous animals in the community.

These sterilizations have the main objective of controlling the population of unwanted pets, while anti-rabies vaccinations are crucial to prevent the spread of rabies, a potentially fatal disease for animals and humans.

In September, the program will continue with new sessions in the same 4 de Marzo neighborhood in the park of the settlement, on Monday the 9th, Tuesday the 10th and Friday the 13th of this month.

In addition, the following requirements are requested: fasting for at least 8 hours (liquids and solids), not pregnant, not lactating and not in heat (females), with a prior appointment at (624) 132-1454 with veterinarian José Alfredo Jiménez Pineda. But there will be a limited capacity.

The Municipal Health Department has stressed the importance of these initiatives, not only for the health and well-being of the animals, but for the safety of the community in general.

For this reason, an invitation is made to the residents of the neighborhood and its surroundings to take advantage of these free services and to stay informed about future campaigns.

It should be noted that with these actions the XIV City Council of Los Cabos reaffirms its commitment to public health and the responsible care of animals.
