Los Cabos, Baja California Sur.- Starting on November 3, 2024, a new air route will begin operating between Los Cabos and the European continent, seeking to attract 16,000 visitors and position European tourism as the third most important international market for the tourist destination.
This new flight will directly connect Los Cabos with Frankfurt, Germany; with two weekly frequencies under the operation of Condor Airlines.
With the approach of the inauguration date, the Los Cabos Tourism Trust (Fiturca) and its director Rodrigo Esponda Cascajares, are already carrying out a promotional strategy with the airline and together with a delegation of 10 hotels and 4 tour operators in strategic cities such as Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg and Zurich.
This strategy included events with more than 60 media specialized in tourism, lifestyle, gastronomy and sports. In addition, more than 10 individual meetings were held with media representatives, who were presented with 10 key reasons why Germans and Swiss choose to visit Los Cabos.
“European markets stay much longer in the destination and generate greater revenue and we have to continue diversifying the offer that we can offer Los Cabos in some other markets. The German tourist is a tourist who is looking for contact with nature in a much more active way; it will be an 8-hour hike in the whole route, that is, they are looking for much more intense experiences, we have the Sea of Cortez and many experiences that we can offer. There is a very strong niche for diving, there is a very strong volume of golf reservations because in winter you cannot practice there and they are looking for experiences in contact with nature.”
The Los Cabos Tourism Trust estimates that this influx of 16 thousand European visitors will generate an economic impact of more than one billion dollars in the region, significantly boosting the local development of the municipality.
