Flights to La Paz will receive a significant boost starting in May and July 2025, thanks to the addition of new routes by Viva Aerobus and TAR México. The announcement was made by Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP) during the 49th edition of the Tianguis Turístico (Tianguis Turístico), held in Baja California.
With these additions, the flight network to La Paz will be expanded from key terminals such as Tijuana, Aguascalientes, Los Mochis, and Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA), thus strengthening the airport’s connectivity in the capital of South California.
Viva Aerobus will open two daily routes starting in May: one from AIFA, with flights to La Paz beginning on May 22, and another from Tijuana, which will begin on May 16. Both connections will operate daily, allowing greater mobility between the north and center of the country and Baja California Sur.
For its part, TAR Mexico announced that, starting July 7, 2025, two new routes will be added, serving La Paz from Los Mochis and Aguascalientes. These routes will be operated on Embraer ERJ 145 aircraft with capacity for 50 passengers, aiming to serve strategic regional destinations.
Flights between La Paz and Los Mochis will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, while the route to Aguascalientes will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, providing flexible options for travelers traveling between the Northwest and the Mexican Bajío region.
Currently, Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico manages 12 terminals in Mexico and has reached a total of 299 active routes. With these additions, La Paz Airport is positioned as an increasingly important hub in the national airline network.
