From a nautical parade to catrinas: this is how Cabo San Lucas will celebrate the Day of the Dead.

For four days, you can enjoy a family-friendly art and culture event, which will take place at Amelia Wilkes Plaza, the marina, El Médano Beach, and the Golden Zone of Cabo San Lucas, highlighting the ancient tradition of the Day of the Dead.

“Entre Calaveras y Talavera” is the exhibition by artist Naomi Ortega, which can be seen at the Cerrito del Timbre gallery, located on Lázaro Cárdenas Avenue. The ribbon cutting is scheduled for 7:00 pm on Saturday, November 1st. The exhibition will be open from November 1st to 30th, Monday through Friday, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. Admission is free.

The Ceremonia de Ofrendas festival will take place on Saturday, November 1st, presented by Inferno Fest at Avenue the Place, from 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM, and can be enjoyed in the marina area near the Ferris wheel, located on Marina Boulevard.

On November 2nd, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, in Amelia Wilkes Plaza, you can enjoy the 2nd edition of the “Mar de Ofrendas: Gastronomic, Tequila, and Mezcal” festival, organized by the members of the Los Cabos Business Association, A.C.

The ribbon cutting is scheduled for that same Sunday at 7:30 p.m., to begin with folklore, music, and the awarding of prizes for the decorated storefronts of businesses in the Golden Zone of Cabo San Lucas. Delegate Karina de la O announced that there will be an orchestra, whose name she did not reveal, as it will be a surprise for all attendees.

Amelia Wilkes Plaza is located between Cabo San Lucas, Lázaro Cárdenas, and Miguel Hidalgo streets in Cabo San Lucas.

The National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Food Industry (Canirac) has scheduled a parade for November 2nd. The personalized procession of catrines and catrinas will begin at 5:00 p.m. at the Yenekamu courts, proceeding along Lázaro Cárdenas Avenue to reach Amelia Wilkes Plaza. According to the program, they are expected to arrive at 7:00 p.m. and return to the starting point.

Bomber tours will participate, decorated in a Day of the Dead theme, along with other decorated vehicles that will accompany the parade’s participants. Participants are welcome to show off their best attire.

Culinary arts students from the University of the Gulf of California (UGC) will join the tradition by preparing traditional Mexican dishes with a gourmet touch. Participants will be able to enjoy them on Sunday, November 2nd in Amelia Wilkes Plaza, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Chefs from the restaurants that make up the Médano Hotel Association will prepare traditional Pan de Muerto, each with its own personal touch in decoration and flavor, as part of the “La Ruta del Pan” festival, which can be enjoyed from October 29th to November 2nd.

Students from San Agustín School will headline the Karani Festival—”The Eternal Flight,” which includes a parade, altar-making contest, and catrinas. It will take place on Saturday, November 1, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The fifth Nautical Festival will take place in Cabo San Lucas Bay, the Marina, and El Médano Beach, beginning November 1 and ending on Tuesday, November 4.
