Youth tourism will raise hotel occupancy to 80% and will exceed the influx registered in 2025 in the destination of Los Cabos.

Los Cabos, Baja California Sur.- The destination of Los Cabos is preparing to experience one of the most intense Spring Break seasons in recent years. Starting in March, the tourist destination will receive about 50 thousand students, mainly from different cities in the United States and Canada.

The summer vacations will cause an average hotel occupancy of 80%, an estimated economic spillover of 40 million dollars, and anticipated full houses in the Cabo San Lucas area, especially on El Médano beach.

This was reported by the Los Cabos Hotel Association, after the official confirmation that the season will last for five weeks, a period for which the sector is already working on special logistics to meet the high concentration of young visitors.

Added to this panorama is the report of the Association of Professionals and Business Leaders of Los Cabos, which reported that at least 12 hotels located in the tourist area of El Médano have already reached 100% occupancy, even before the formal start of Spring Break.

According to estimates from the tourism sector, the projected influx for Spring Break 2026 represents a higher scope compared to 2025, when the arrival of students was approximately 45 thousand, causing hotel occupancy not to reach the levels expected for that year.

However, the direct impact of Spring Break 2025 was not minor, as it ranged between 30 and 35 million dollars, mainly in the entertainment industry and the tourism services in the region.

Authorities and businessmen agree that the full recovery of youth tourism and the international promotion of the destination have been key factors for this rebound.

The massive arrival of groups of young foreigners will directly benefit hotelsrestaurantsbarstourist transportation, and service providers, in addition to consolidating Los Cabos as one of the preferred destinations internationally for Spring Break.
