Nearly 330 off-road car and motorcycle racing teams will gather from March 20-22 for the 2026 President Motorsport Cup, which will be held at the Luis “Loco” Sandoval track and will mark the start of the 2026 series on the regional motorsports calendar.

The competition is part of the San José del Cabo Traditional Festival program and will feature local, state, national, and U.S. drivers in what organizers anticipate will be one of the most well-attended editions.

Activities will begin on Thursday, March 20, with vehicle inspections at the Teniente José Antonio Mijares public square, scheduled between 12:00 and 7:00 p.m., where the public can closely observe the vehicles that will compete over the weekend.

Prior to the races, the drivers will practice and familiarize themselves with the track on Friday and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., allowing fans to witness part of the preparation before the official competition.

The races will be held on March 21 and 22 on a short track, with 10 laps per race on the circuit.

With competitors arriving from across Mexico and abroad, the Copa Presidente Motorsport is shaping up to be one of the most popular off-road events in southern Baja California Sur, adding to the appeal of the sporting and recreational activities during the San José festivities.
