The business did not respect the 50% capacity allowed, so they will have to pay a fine.
Los Cabos, Baja California Sur. (OEM) .- As citizens had been denouncing, nightclubs in Los Cabos were not respecting the allowed capacity, which led to the closure of one of them: “La Vaquita”, located in the heart of Cabo San Lucas.
The place was attended by Tax Inspection personnel, as well as a Commission Against Sanitary Risks, and COEPRIS officials determined the suspension of the place for not complying with the allowed capacity, which is 50% according to the epidemiological traffic light in Baja California Sur.
This is just a few weeks after reopening as a restaurant bar. However, since its opening, there have been many citizen complaints about crowds in different bars in Cabo, including “La Vaquita”, which at first glance were not respecting the traffic light, putting the health of their own customers and staff at risk.
Another of the suspended places was the restaurant bar “Agua Salada”, located in the Cabo San Lucas marina, but this one because it did not have the operating license in sight.
Both establishments must pay fines, ranging from 80 to 150 thousand pesos for not respecting the allowed capacity, and from 4 to 8 thousand pesos to those who do not have their operating license insight, as it is the case with “Agua Salada”.
The operation was carried out on the night of Friday, October 23. Therefore, it is not ruled out that these monitoring operations will continue to be carried out, and the restaurants and bars that are not complying with current biosecurity regulations will be fined.
