With the purpose of paying for the reactivation of cultural tourism, as well as nature and adventure tourism in the communities of Baja California Sur, the Ministry of Tourism, Economy and Sustainability (SETUES), delivered sanitation and personal protection equipment to the Institute National Anthropology and History (INAH), for the benefit of service providers in the archaeological zone of San Francisco de la Sierra, in the municipality of Mulegé. 

This was reported by the head of the agency, Luis Humberto Araiza López, who stressed that in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic , BCS redoubles its efforts to restore the tourism industry in all South Californian destinations , in a safe, orderly and responsible manner.  

In that sense, he pointed out that after confinement , nature activities will be a good alternative for travelers , since being outdoors they represent a lower risk of contagion, by asserting that cave paintings are a great attraction and an excellent option to enjoy. and go sightseeing. 

“Our State has a wide natural, cultural and historical wealth that is of great value for the international tourism market, as is the case of rupreste art; Hence, we are working to guarantee sanitary conditions and thus continue to take advantage of all the benefits and resources that BCS has; This will allow us to recover our tourism potential ”, added Araiza López.

Finally, Luis Araiza emphasized the commitment of the State Government to continue providing support and support to the sector, taking into account the health of employees and visitors themselves.
