Authorities monitor the development of two weather events in Los Cabos
Los Cabos, Baja California Sur.- Tourism service providers take advantage of the good run in the port of Cabo San Lucas in terms of profitability in activities, due to difficult days ahead of the threat of tropical storms or hurricanes that could cause the closure and paralyze the entry of income to these business segments that directly serve the tourism that visits this destination.
The maritime authorities report that the port of Cabo San Lucas is open to all types of vessels as well as to all nautical tourism activities, with the recommendation to be attentive to any change in the weather that could represent a risk to navigation.
Likewise, the port captain’s office informs that two low pressures are under development, one to the southwest of the national coasts and the other to the south of the coasts of Guatemala, which are keeping their development under surveillance.
For this reason, it is important that, in general, all those in charge of the provision of services in the different nautical activities take these recommendations into consideration and remain attentive to the security notices that are being issued by the authority responsible for the safeguarding of human life in the sea.
Remember that this May 15th started the cyclonic season for the Mexican Pacific 2021, so it is important to take the appropriate measures and be attentive to changes in the climate, such as the formation of meteorological events that could impact or get too close to the coasts of Los Cabos and cause strong winds and high waves.
The national meteorological service issued the warning that, in the Baja California peninsula, the sky will remain partly cloudy and without rain, with a cool atmosphere at dawn in mountain areas and fog banks on the western coast. The hot atmosphere in the afternoon in areas of northern Baja California, with a west wind of 20 to 30 km/hour in the region, with gusts of 50 to 60 km/hour.
