The event takes place in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where FITURCA seeks to project the destination to that market.
Los Cabos, a tourist destination in Baja California Sur (BCS), actively participates in the WTM Latin America 2024 Fair taking place in São Paulo, Brazil. It stands out as the only Mexican attraction at the event.
According to statements by Rodrigo Esponda Cascajares, head of the Los Cabos Tourism Trust (FITURCA), this strategy is part of a plan to diversify international tourism, strengthen commercial relationships, and explore new opportunities in the tourism market.
Among the activities in which the destination participates, there are meetings with commercial partners from successful cooperative campaigns in 2023, as well as meetings with important actors in the sector, such as Copa Airlines and Globalizer (Amadeus). Additionally, there will be meetings with international agencies, with the goal of expanding the destination’s reach, as well as interviews with specialized trade tourism media, to spread local initiatives and projects.
Likewise, other events were planned with some of the most relevant Incentive and Convention Houses in the region, and the luxury travel agencies Virtuoso and Traveller Made.
The WTM Latin America Fair, known for its ability to generate effective business opportunities, is an international tourism event that brings together professionals from the travel and tourism industry of South America.
With a special focus on Brazilian buyers and other regional guests, the exclusively B2B event provides an ideal environment to foster solid and successful commercial relationships.
