This Saturday, at around 2:19 p.m., gunshots were reported in the Pericúes neighborhood, and two men were injured by gunfire.
The incident occurred this afternoon in La Paz, and the Baja California Sur State Attorney General’s Office (PGJE) is conducting field and office investigations to investigate the deaths of two men.
PGJE personnel arrived at the scene and located the lifeless bodies of the men on Forjadores Avenue and 2nd Street, near the Pericúes neighborhood.
Initial investigations indicate that unknown individuals shot investigators, who repelled the attack, resulting in the death of one officer and one of the attackers.
The bodies were taken to the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) for the legally mandated autopsy. The identification of the second deceased is ongoing.
The PGJE (General Attorney General’s Office) continues its investigation to locate the person(s) responsible for these crimes.
