El Cid Resorts announces mega tourism project in Baja California Sur

The hotel chain El Cid Resorts announced a mega tourism project in Baja California Sur, which will include a hotel, golf course, and a marina, as part of its expansion strategy in Mexico.

At the end of his participation in the Congress of the Mexican Association of Tourism Developers (Amdetur), the company’s president, Carlos Berdegué Sacristán, specified that the project will be developed in the East Cape region of this state, which has gained significant importance due to its growing demand for travelers.

“We are currently in the planning phase of this project, analyzing how many rooms will be built, as well as details of the golf course and marina, so we hope to begin construction early next year,” commented Berdegué Sacristán.

“At the moment, we don’t want to talk about the amount of resources for the construction. It’s better not to talk about investment right now in these times,” he added.

The president of the El Cid Resorts chain indicated that this project reflects continued confidence in Mexico and the potential of the tourism industry for this year and beyond.

He also reported that, as part of another part of their growth plans, a few weeks ago they opened a new accommodation property in Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, with 1,000 rooms.

“We will continue to monitor market opportunities and regions with growth potential,” commented Carlos Berdegué Sacristán.

The executive, who also serves as vice president of the National Tourism Business Council (CNET), was recognized by Amdetur for his career in the hotel industry and his contributions to the sector.

Daniel Linares, director of Amdetur, noted that the executive is a great reference in the sector for all the expansion he has achieved and his work in private organizations.
