On Wednesday night, around 10:10 p.m., personnel from the San José del Cabo Fire Department, Station #1 Centro, successfully carried out a water rescue in the beach area of the Vidanta Hotel.
The victim, a 22-year-old man, was located approximately 150 meters offshore when he was reported missing. After activating the rescue protocol and using lighting for the operation, the firefighters were able to locate and safely rescue the young man.
The operation was carried out in collaboration with the Mexican Red Cross, Public Security, and Vidanta Hotel staff, demonstrating the importance of inter-institutional coordination in emergency situations.
Authorities emphasized that, thanks to the preparedness and rapid response of the emergency personnel, the young man’s physical well-being was ensured, and they reiterated the recommendation to exercise extreme caution when entering the sea, especially at night.
