Los Cabos: Porter and Air Transat with new routes from Canada

Los Cabos will kick off the 2026–2027 winter season with increased nonstop air connectivity from various Canadian cities, further solidifying its position as one of the most sought-after and best-connected sun and beach destinations in the country.

The addition and increased frequencies from Toronto, Ottawa, Edmonton, and Montreal reflect the sustained interest of the Canadian market, as well as the growing confidence of airlines in the destination. The new flights, operated by Porter Airlines and Air Transat, will begin on November 16.

This expansion complements the strong performance of the Canadian market, which has become the second most important international source of tourists for Los Cabos, second only to the United States. Projections anticipate continued growth in air capacity in the coming months, while the strengthened connectivity from eastern Canada expands access to the destination beyond the traditional gateways in western Mexico.

“Canada has established itself as one of our most important international markets, and we are seeing this growth extend throughout the country,” said Rodrigo Esponda, CEO of the Los Cabos Tourism Trust.

Delta recently announced the suspension of routes from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to Mexican destinations such as Cancún, Los Cabos, and Puerto Vallarta. This was due to the increase in fuel prices caused by the conflict in Iran, as the airline explained at the time.
