22 tons of garbage removed from the San José del Cabo Estuary

A cleanup effort at the San José del Cabo Estuary resulted in the removal of approximately 22 tons of waste, according to information from the Los Cabos City Council.

The activity took place in the State Ecological Reserve with the participation of residents from nearby areas, as well as members of companies and community groups who joined the cleanup efforts.

Various municipal departments also participated in the cleanup, including Public Services, Public Safety, and environmental protection agencies, which worked together to collect the waste.

Representatives from the private sector and groups such as Grupo Questro and Tarzan Warriors also participated, collaborating in the site cleanup.

The San José del Cabo Estuary is considered one of the municipality’s most important natural areas, and these types of initiatives aim to contribute to its conservation in the face of waste accumulation.

Municipal authorities reported that these campaigns are carried out periodically to maintain natural areas in better condition and promote citizen participation in their care.
