Through the reforestation program carried out by the State Government and the local City Council
Loreto, Baja California Sur.- Through the reforestation program that is carried out in the municipality, in a joint effort by the State Government through SEPADA and the Loreto City Council, a total of 4,500 fruit and shade trees, informed Andrés Córdova Urrutia.
The head of the SEPADA stands out, as in Loreto, in the other four municipalities of the state, similar actions have been developed in order to improve the environment and help mitigate the effects of climate change.
Within the municipality of Loreto, Andrés Córdova Urrutia added, the reforestation of public spaces, parks, and gardens has been carried out where the participation and collaboration of the general public has collaborated, with the support of the municipal authority through the direction of environment, natural resources, and sustainability.
During the past days we had the opportunity to accompany the municipal president of Loreto, Arely Arce Peralta, on a tour of the explorers neighborhood of that city, to attend to the request of the neighborhood committee of the same and deliver plants for the reforestation of the park, just as we delivered a set of benches for the benefit of users, the installation of the town hall staff.
It has been, highlighted the Secretary of Fisheries, Aquaculture, and Agricultural Development of the State Government, Córdova Urrutia, thanks to this availability of both the municipal authorities and the locals, that we have been able to advance in a very important way in the reforestation program.
One point that has been addressed in coordination with the educational authorities has been the reforestation of educational institutions, where the aim not only of improving their image, it is sought that students have greater security to remove all types of plants with thorns and instead plant trees for shade, Andrés Córdova Urrutia concluded.
