Alberto Medina Chavarín, president of the Los Cabos College of Architects, announced that if a solution to the mobility problem in the south of the entity is not found, in 5 years there will be a collapse in the communication networks, so it is necessary to consider bridges vehicular and pedestrian in some parts of the municipality, among them, Cerro Colorado.

He indicated that in the municipality of Los Cabos there are 3 very marked problems, water, housing and mobility, the latter can generate severe headaches, according to hard data the growth in the municipality before the pandemic was approximately 15% annual, in addition to making the observation that the income of cars per year is 2,000 new and used units.

He pointed out that if this continues, the problem in 5 years in terms of the vehicle fleet will double, reaching an imminent collapse in the communication networks, it is necessary to create more square meters of bearing, so the College of Architects has proposed alternatives to fix the problem, at least in 30 years.https://5c73a0bb31d668511814aea586c8c798.safeframe.googlesyndication.com/safeframe/1-0-38/html/container.html#xpc=sf-gdn-exp-e&p=https%3A//tribunadeloscabos.com.mx

Among them are entry and exit solutions to Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo, as well as in some popular neighborhoods and the Tourist Corridor, among them at the height of Cerro Colorado, there is even the proposal to create 2 vehicular and 2 pedestrian returns.

“The project consists of making a boulevard with side lanes and sidewalks, a bus stop and everything necessary to make it a true comprehensive road solution for the area.”

He concluded that another point where work has been done was on a return located between the Cerro Colorado gas station and Hotel Regina, as well as the pedestrian crossing that will be uneven.

“The project is advanced and has already been presented to the state authorities and the Ministry of Communications and Transportation and full acceptance, so they hope to present it to find the necessary resources for its creation.”
