To help in its conservation, since 2023 a fee must be paid to be a Protected Natural Area.
The National Commission of Natural Protected Areas (CONANP) updated the costs of the Bracelets to enter the Protected Natural Area Balandra (ANP) Balandra beach, from 54 pesos that visitors paid, now they must pay 60.37 pesos per day to access the place.
Since 2023, national and foreign tourists, set an amount for the entrance to the beach located in La Paz, Baja California Sur. The charge aims to raise awareness about the importance of its conservation, what is collected with these amounts is used to strengthen the supervision of the ANP. The maximum capacity is 450 people per block, from 08:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 17:00 hours.
For students or teachers, while presenting an identification they have 50 percent, in addition minors under 12 years and seniors over 60 years, who must also prove their age with an identification, are exempt from paying.
Meanwhile, inhabitants of La Paz do not pay entrance, access is free every day and on Sundays there is exclusivity for locals.
Balandra beach is within the ranking “The Best 50 Beaches in the World 2023” located in place number 10 worldwide and in Mexico it is also considered as one of the most beautiful places in the country.
The municipal tourism department of La Paz, reported that 90 percent of the visitors of Balandra beach is foreign and national tourism, the remaining is local, having little time to enjoy the place, paceños prefer to go to other destinations that are more hidden in the capital of the state.
