Within the framework of the Mexico Tourism Fair 2024 held in Acapulco, Viva Aerobus and the Secretary of Tourism and Economy of Baja California Sur (BCS), along with the Los Cabos Tourism Trust, celebrated the start of operations of the new route that will connect the new Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) with Los Cabos.

‘We appreciate that Viva Aerobus continues to grow in our state, adding more destinations and strengthening our air connectivity to consolidate BCS as a leading tourist destination at the national level,’ said Maribel Collins Sánchez, the Secretary of Tourism and Economy of BCS.

The new route adds to the 11 that Viva Aerobus already operates from the Los Cabos International Airport: Cancún, Ciudad Juárez, Culiacán, Guadalajara, Hermosillo, Mexico City (AICM), Monterrey, Querétaro, Tijuana, Toluca, and Torreón. Between these routes and the three that operate from La Paz, the airline recorded more than 1.175 million passengers transported to destinations in the state of BCS in 2023, an increase of 15% compared to 2022.

The service will be operated by Mexico’s youngest fleet, which today consists of 83 Airbus aircraft with an average age of 5.45 years. It will have a flight every day of the week.”
