Patricia Espinosa, Copa Airlines’ sales manager in Colombia, told REPORTUR.co that the airline expects to operate 88 destinations in 32 countries with 420 daily flights by the end of this year. She also mentioned that Cancún and Los Cabos are among the most popular destinations.

“For the remainder of the year, Copa Airlines will continue to focus on strengthening our operations in Latin America by increasing frequencies, optimizing schedules, and consolidating our network. We project operating 88 destinations in 32 countries, reaching approximately 420 daily flights by the end of 2026, through the Hub of the Americas in Panama,” Espinosa told this newspaper.

She also noted that the Colombian market is well-represented for Copa, particularly for destinations like Cancún and Los Cabos. “It’s one of the most attractive destinations for Colombians. Cancun and Los Cabos are among the most popular, and we operate multiple daily flights to these destinations (for example, up to six daily flights to Cancun and three weekly flights to Los Cabos),” he told REPORTUR.co.

Copa recently announced that it will incorporate Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite internet. The airline will be the first in Latin America with this high-speed technology, as neither Latam, Avianca, nor Aerolíneas Argentinas have yet announced the integration of this internet on board. (Copa’s milestone as the first Latin American airline with satellite Wi-Fi on its planes).

The Panamanian airline will begin in July 2026 and will progressively cover its entire fleet, allowing its passengers to connect in flight with unprecedented quality in the region, since the next-generation Wi-Fi offers speeds of up to 400 Mbps.
