In Baja California Sur, the election will result in new municipal presidents for each of the five municipalities of the state, three of them are governed by Morena, La Paz, Comondú, and Los Cabos. The PAN heads Loreto and Nueva Alianza governs Mulegé.
In addition, on June 6, South Californians will vote for five receiverships and 48 regidurías.
The state electoral roll has a registry of 561,648 citizens.
According to the State Electoral Institute of Baja California Sur, abstentionism in the last election was 43 percent.
