The Autonomous University of Baja California Sur (UABCS), in collaboration with the State Triathlon Coordination, invites cyclists and sprinters to participate in the traditional ” Triathlon Pesquerías 2021 “, to be held next Sunday, November 21 at Pichilingue Beach, at starting at 7:00 in the morning.
Men and women aged 23 and over may participate, who must register in the category that corresponds to their age range, with a quota for 130 individuals and 20 teams. The distance to be covered is 750 meters of swimming, 20 km of cycling and 5 km of running.
Registration is now open and must be done through the page www.timermexico.com, with a deadline of 20:00 on Wednesday, November 17, or until all quotas are exhausted.
Regarding the recovery costs, in the case of the sprint, it is $ 650 and relay costs $ 1050, which entitles the competitor’s package that consists of numbers (helmet, bicycle, and race), official swimming cap, supply on route, and goal, commemorative cap, and a number plate to the first 50 registered.
The awards consist of a medal for each and every finalist, trophies for the first 3 places in each category, and recognition for 4th and 5th place. In the event that a category does not have a minimum of 5 competitors, it will be integrated into the lower age category.
It is worth mentioning that prior to the race day there will be a meeting on Friday 19 November at the Poliforo Cultural Universitario of UABCS where numbers Agreement shall be delivered to the following times: from 1 to 25, at 17: 30; from 26 to 50, at 18:00; from 51 to 75, at 18:30; from 76 to 100, at 7:00 p.m.; and the rest from 7:30 p.m., closing the kit delivery process at 8:00 p.m.
Both the University and the State Triathlon Coordination urge the competitors to register, their companions and the public attending to keep the natural settings that will be used for said event clean at all times. At the same time, to attend to the sanitary measures that are established during the period that the competition lasts.
