Although the recovery of tourism in the Mexican Caribbean is evident, Puerto Vallarta loses tourists in contrast to Cancun and Los Cabos. During March, the airport that receives travelers from Vallarta was below -5.8%.

As REPORTUR.mx reported, the Cancun International Airport in the first week of April approached record figures again and welcomes 41 airlines. This Sunday the terminal registered 578 flights, especially to and from abroad, of which 292 were arrivals, 83 national, and 209 international.

The airlines that operated, there are Aeromar, Aeroméxico, Air Canada, Air France, Air Portugal, Air Transat, Alaska, American, Austrian, Avianca, and British. Additionally, Condor, Copa, Delta, Eurowings, Frontier, Gol, IAero Airways, Iberojet, Jet Air, Jet Blue, Latam, Magni, Sky, Spirit, Southwest, Sun Country, Sunwing, Swoop, TAG, TUI, Turkish, United, Viva Aerobús, Viva Air, Volaris, West Jet, Wingo, and World2Fly, according to the Southeast Airport Group (ASUR).

Likewise, according to ASUR, the departures that were scheduled were 286, of which 82 will be national and the remaining 204, destined for foreign airports, mainly in the United States.
