We have no interference; we send a letter to the Captain’s Office: Mayor of La Paz about a foreigner on a yacht

Two weeks ago, a document was introduced against a foreigner who lives on a yacht and has shot at tourist services, stated the Mayor of La Paz

La Paz, Baja California Sur (BCS). The mayor of La Paz, Milena Quiroga Romero, reported that the City Council submitted a letter to the Port Captain’s Office to take measures against the foreigner who has fired pellets at other people from a boat.

“We already sent a letter to the Port Captaincy and they already received it, and with that they told us that they were going to act […] our interference does not apply there, it is on a boat at sea, since they affected other people, we made the complaint and I think that with that they could act, we are going to investigate and see how they go,” she expressed.

The municipal president asserted that the complaint was filed 2 weeks ago, because the City Council has no influence in it, because the incident occurred at sea, on a boat.

“The truth is that it was 2 weeks ago, but I will gladly check to see how it goes,” she said when questioned by BCS Noticias about the progress in the process.

It is worth mentioning that, recently, acts of aggression have been reported again by Michael “N”, an American foreigner who is on a yacht. Two weeks ago, a document was introduced against the foreigner who lives on a yacht anchored in the Port of Ilusión and has shot against tourist services, stated the Mayor of La Paz, in Baja California Sur.

“Nautical tourism boats that travel along the pier were attacked again by Michael […] aboard his sailboat that is anchored in front of the Hotel Los Arcos dock,” says the report circulated on social networks, this September 17.
