On April 5th, Mexicana de Aviación flew its Boeing 737-800, which has a capacity for 174 passengers, from AIFA to San José del Cabo via Guadalajara, with only 13 users, three of whom boarded in Jalisco.

On April 1st, Mexicana de Aviación inaugurated the route between Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) and San José del Cabo International Airport in Baja California Sur. However, few passengers see the airline as an option for flying.

Through the YouTube channel of SkyFly Aviation, users documented their experience traveling with the Mexican State Airline where they flew on the Boeing 737-800 for 174 passengers, and only 4 people ended up boarding at the Guadalajara airfield.

“There are only four of us, including myself, it’s going to be the plane just for us,” said the users, who stated that there were more people coming from AIFA, at least 10 passengers.

In other shots, only 13 passengers could be counted on the plane, which previously belonged to the Mexican Air Force, plus seven crew members, meaning the flight was traveling at 8 percent of its capacity, with an average flight cost of 1,150 pesos.

Mexicana also flies with few passengers to Acapulco In early January, Mexicana de Aviación flew from Acapulco International Airport to Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) with only one passenger.

This was reported by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador when reviewing the first month of operations of the Mexican State Airline, in an operations report.

The trip with a single passenger from the port to Mexico City was carried out through Mexicana de Aviación’s subsidiary, Link Conexión Aérea, which operates TAR Airlines with its Embraer planes that have a capacity for 50 passengers.

The flight left Acapulco yesterday at 11:50 AM and arrived without any issues at the new airport an hour later.
