As part of the Holy Week kickoff on Avenida Revolución, the head of the Baja California Tourism Secretariat, Miguel Aguiñiga Rodríguez, assured that the state is ready to welcome visitors.

“The holiday season is an excellent opportunity to reconnect with the state’s cultural, natural, and culinary riches. From enjoying Mexico’s most revolutionary cuisine, exploring one of our certified trails, or discovering the charm of our magical town of Tecate. Baja California is a privileged destination that offers a wide variety of experiences for those who wish to explore our entire territory,” Aguiñiga emphasized.

He also mentioned the wide variety of events that kick off the holiday season, offering unforgettable experiences for locals and tourists. We share some of them with you:

Score San Felipe 250

One of the most anticipated competitions on the international off-road calendar. The 38th edition of the SCORE San Felipe 250, which will take place from April 3 to 6. More than 230 teams from countries such as Argentina, New Zealand, Canada, Australia, the United States, Japan, and Mexico will compete in this exciting race.

Rosarito Beach Bike Ride

This sporting and cause-based event will take place on April 5th to benefit children with cancer. Starting at the Rosarito Beach Hotel and finishing in the Valle de Guadalupe, cyclists will travel 70 km on Mexico’s largest route of hope, organized by the Castro Limón Foundation.

Meat Festival in Mexicali

Mexicali will host the fifth edition of the Meat Festival this Saturday, April 5th. Attendees will be able to taste around 2,000 kilos of meat prepared in a variety of ways.

Designed as a family event, admission is free for children under 12. For adults, the general admission price will be $600 pesos, and a portion of the proceeds will go to a charitable foundation.

Seaside Tables in Ensenada

On April 12th, Seaside Tables will be held at the UABC Cultural Walkway in Unidad Sauzal, a culinary experience featuring the best of Baja California cuisine and newly released wines.

Local and guest chefs will work hand in hand with winegrowers and conch producers to create a special menu highlighting the fresh flavors of Baja California and a tasting of high-end labels.

Conchas and New Wine Festival in Ensenada
On April 13, the Coral & Marina Hotel will host the 25th Conchas and New Wine Festival, where 80 Baja California wineries will offer tastings of more than 160 recently released wine labels. More than 50 regional restaurants will participate with oyster, mussel, and chione clam dishes.

Baja California Tourist Market 2025

Beginning April 25, Baja California will make history with the Tourist Market, welcoming visitors from more than 35 countries.

In addition to the main activities, cultural and culinary events open to the public and completely free of charge will be held. For example, the “Great Taco of Mexico” at the Tijuana Cultural Center on May 1 and 2, where attendees can sample a variety of delicious tacos from different parts of the country. The “Concert for Peace” will also be held on Tijuana’s iconic Avenida Revolución, featuring the Baja California Symphony Orchestra and the musical group Nortec.

Baja California is ready for the 2025 Easter holidays

As part of the 2025 Easter Operation strategies, the Baja California Tourism Secretariat will be conducting monitoring tours in the state’s main tourist areas. It will also verify traffic flow, maintaining close coordination with agencies of the three government agencies.

To ensure a great vacation experience, the Tourism Secretariat will provide services at its six offices and five mobile modules throughout the state, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Those traveling by road can call 078 toll-free, where they will receive information, assistance, tourist assistance, and emergency roadside assistance for both domestic and international tourists. This is provided by the Ángeles Verdes organization.

Likewise, the Ministry of Tourism is available at 664-624-2020, through which it will provide assistance, follow-up on complaints, and advice to all visitors.
