During the fourth quarter of 2025, medications and medical supplies will be delivered to hospitals and health centers in the five municipalities of Baja California Sur. The new batch of supplies aims to serve people without social security and improve distribution through a renewed fleet of vehicles.
The Mexican government will deliver an additional batch of medications to Baja California Sur during the fourth quarter of 2025 to reinforce the filling of prescriptions in state hospitals and health centers in the five municipalities, which serve people lacking social security, reported the head of the agency, Ana Luisa Guluarte Castro, during a visit to the central warehouse.
Accompanied by the state coordinator of IMSS Bienestar, Bogdan Arriaga Benis, Guluarte Castro indicated that the federation agreed to provide monthly supplies of medications and medical supplies to the state, in order to reinforce the treatments provided to the low-income population of Baja California Sur.
These state medical units have maintained an essential supply of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies with the support of the State Government, whose administration has invested approximately 45 million pesos this year to address the priority needs of patients without health insurance.
He stated that 13 new vehicles will also be received to strengthen the distribution of supplies carried out through this warehouse by the Ministry of Health and IMSS Bienestar, both to medical units in the five regions and to public health programs for the prevention and treatment of various diseases.
Guluarte Castro emphasized that the general health warehouse has computer, logistics, and storage systems that adhere to quality criteria to guarantee the safety of the pharmaceuticals. He also added that work is underway to renew the vehicle fleet so that the transportation of supplies can be carried out more efficiently for the benefit of users.
