The future of the MICE segment in Los Cabos is strengthened with an estimated $900 million in luxury hotel infrastructure investments over the next three years, including the opening of the 197-room Park Hyatt Los Cabos, scheduled to open in late 2025, and the 124-room St. Regis Los Cabos at Quivira, scheduled to open in 2026, expanding capacity for high-demand events.

The MICE industry represented 10.7% of the state’s tourism activity and generated significant economic benefits for complementary services. Ninety-two percent of the events promoted best practices, 89% increased the destination’s appeal for future meetings, and 88% of participants plan to return as tourists.

During 2025, Los Cabos hosted prominent meeting events, including the Luxury edition of the WMF (World Meetings and Forums), and has more than 600 weekly flights, including 330 from 32 cities in the US.

In 2024, Los Cabos welcomed 283,848 attendees across 8,244 meetings and 5,795 incentive programs, with an average stay of 6.7 nights, higher than the tourist average. It is worth noting that the Los Cabos Tourism Trust (FITURCA) met with 1,600 event planners during its recent participation in IMEX Americas 2025, from October 7 to 9 in Las Vegas.

Mentioned the six new luxury hotel brands that will open in Los Cabos before the Mexican Caribbean and all other tourist destinations in Mexico. He also explained how they’ve handled the treatment of Colombians at the Los Cabos and Mexico City airports, the new Copa route, and the efforts they’re undertaking with Avianca to establish a direct route to Los Cabos, among other topics.
